ReGlobe at SASE Bordeaux 1-4 July 2026! 

The ReGlobe team has been very active the past couple of days at the Society for the Advancement of Socio-Economics (SASE) conference in Bordeaux 1-4 July (Science Po).  

We organized a panel on Rethinking Globalization in an Era of Techno-Nationalism and Tech-rivalry featuring Cecilia Rikap with a talk on Digital Sovereignty, geopolitics and AI Crossroads, Linda Monsees on Techno-nationalism and the Irony of Globalised Supply-Chains, Jasa Veselinovic presenting analysis of biotech as a frontier of rivalling techno-nationalisms in the age of intellectual monopoly capitalism, and Adam Tyler showing recent findings on elite contestation in EU semiconductor policy making. 

We also presented our work-in-progress paper on the Big Tech Power Elite in a panel on the Global Politics of Big Tech I: Technology corporations and global elite networks for a planned special issue on Global Politics of Big Tech, edited by Joscha Abels, Silvia Weko and Steven Rolf in Politics & Governance and presented our work on geo-economic exposure and EU industrial policy (which is also published open access). 

Furthermore, Nana de Graaff spoke at a round table on Researching corporate power in an age of geoeconomics: from theory to application and Adam Tyler presented his co-authored paper with Ben Crum about political conflict around EU digital policy, recently published in JCMS.
