ReGlobe at EISA Lisbon 1-4 September 2026

Part of the ReGlobe team spent last week in Lisbon for the 19th Pan-European Conference on International Relations by EISA. Nana de Graaff and Jaša Veselinovič, together with Bastiaan van Apeldoorn, organised and chaired a 9-panel section titled “Geopolitics, Capitalism and Techno-Industrial competition: Contested Elite Strategies in a Fracturing World Order”, bringing together exciting new research by colleagues old and new, established and early career. 

We also presented our own ongoing research on the geoeconomics of biotech, mapping the Big Tech power elite, and the networks behind the Trump 2.0 presidency. The result was three days of intense, enriching discussions, constructive feedback from the numerous audience members, and enjoyable socialising outside the (very hot) meeting room. Many thanks to all the participants, and we are looking forward to picking up the discussion with many of you next year in Ljubljana!
